Privacy Policy

Merit Toolbox is operated by MoosePunch Interactive. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Accounts and Authentication

When you create an account, we store your email address and a unique user ID. Authentication is handled by Supabase. You can sign in with Google or a magic link sent to your email.

Information We Collect

If you use MeritCat without signing in, your inputs (cat name, sound, situation) are sent to our server to generate a translation but are not stored permanently. If you are signed in, we store cat profiles you create (name, color, pattern, breed, personality, and optional location), generated translations, and generated image URLs and the prompts used to create them.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. We store a record of your purchase (product, status, and payment provider) to manage your account plan.

Third-Party Services

To provide our tools, your inputs may be sent to the following third-party services: OpenAI (text generation), Replicate (image generation), Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (authentication and database), and Upstash (rate limiting). Each service processes data according to its own privacy policy.

Analytics

We may use analytics tools such as PostHog or Plausible to understand how tools are used. These collect anonymized usage data such as page views and feature interactions. We do not sell your data to advertisers.

Rate Limiting

We use your IP address for rate limiting to prevent abuse. IP-based rate limit counters are stored temporarily in Upstash Redis and expire automatically.

Data Retention and Deletion

Cat profiles, translations, and generated images are retained as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all associated data is removed. If you would like to request deletion of your data, contact us at the email listed on our Contact page.

This privacy policy may be updated as Merit Toolbox evolves. We will note the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page.
